Relapse

Gracefully I thirst

For that vulnerable

Heart. That wonderful

And hopeless heart.

Carefully I crave

That sleepless breath.

Those restless lugs

In their tired cage.

Scarcely I think,

“How would this be

If those awkward hands

Took up my fearful ones.”

Powerful you came

With your vicious teeth

And wicked smile

To take me down.

Beautifully cursed,

We collapsed into a love

So desperate and keen,

So fluid and sweet.
