Revelation

I am young. I am inexperienced.

Yet I see the light where others eyesight have diminished.

Why is it that you see past me?

Your eyes look, but they don't see.

I am young. I am strong.

Yet I have been downed for so long.

Why is my success so rare?

Its distance unreachable, and I stare.

My heart has yearned and my soul is done.

My limbs are loose, all hope is gone.

I've seen my future and lived my past.

I will aways and forever be last.

Yet my heartbeat flutters,

my negative thoughts lost in a gutter.

As I realize,

times fate—it flies.

My head is high,

towards the sky.

My faith is strong,

I've waited long.

My purpose is clear,

when He is here.

My back is straight,

won't bend—nor break.

I am young. Yet I have knowledge.

You have doubted me. Yet I have not fallen.

My future is golden.

My goals are unfolding.

One last revelation in my time of despair.

A significant phrase lingers through my ears.

One last thing for the world to see:

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
