Rise & Fall

The more I think about it all,

I witnessed both your rise and fall,

Now you've got me backed against a wall,

I'm having trouble standing at all.

I know that your origin

Was built upon hate and sin,

I know all the mistakes you made,

And I never forgave,

You hurt me to get to the apex,

You didn't know what would happen next.

I know that when you fell,

You were trapped in your own Hell,

I know every time you think about me,

You should have set me free,

You made me into something I'm not,

Which made me leave you to rot.

The more I think about it all,

You deserved the rise less than the fall,

Now I need to break from this wall,

Forever I'll stand tall.
