Sayori

Minty, sunshine, candy flowers/

Bitter, stormy, midnight hours.

Dancing, turning, almost flying.

In the corner softly crying.

Bubbly, energetic, bouncing off the ground.

Face down in the pool wishing you could drown.

Chopping lettuce, the thought will linger.

Maybe I should cut my finger.

That's the way you used to be,

So much hurt and pain.

But it's so very different now,

Despite the small amounts that remain.

You learned that repression,

Can never conquer depression.

I hope if before you never knew,

That now you know, I love, pray for, and understand you.
