1st Tim. 3:16

“The mystery of Godliness

God manifested in the flesh

and justified in the Spirit”

 

How, you ask, can such things be and understood by man,

Who through the ages did inherit blindness in all spiritual things?

Deprived in the common theme and enjoying their depravity

As one, who thinks to know all that ... like in a common fling

 

 “Seen by angels”, what you know? “Preached among the gentiles”

Is not that what we are ... estranged from the Living God?

“Believed on in the world ... received up in Glory”

And here we are debating ... comprehending it not

 

Self appointed experts ... not listening to the Spirit

Setting up the guidelines ... for every one to live

Ignoring basic scripture ... molding it into desires,

Which are based on carnal-ness ... with nothing left to give

 

Scary don’t you think ... that you can “fully” know the bible

To grasp most in it accurately and be an expert in its doctrine?

To zealously give all talents in service to an audience

And still be dead in spirit ... un-regenerated after all

 

Folks can never enter the Kingdom of the Lord of Glory

Through our encouragement ... persuasion or attraction

Arguments or inducements ... excitement or conviction

Cannot replace the New Birth ... of the Spirit’s resurrection
