Scholarships and Applications

Location

Swamped with school and studies,

with almost no time to relax.

My brain is full and muddied

with AP vocab like syntax.

Graduation is looming near,

but i've got in the bag.

Speeding straight through senior year,

dealing with adults that nag,

"Are you prepared for college yet?

Deadlines arent far away"

"You need to get them done, though I bet

you'd rather go out and play"

Oh how they were right, oh so very right,

yet here in this room I lurk,

While others went out and partied at night

I was cooped up completing college work.

If I could change something, I'm sure it would be

to make college cheaper, if not completely free

to those who applied and

were accepted in.

Too bad its just a daydream.

Well applications have been sent

and acceptance letters recieved,

but the greatest obstacle to my ascent

is my financial need.

I'm searching for a way to be able to pay

while facing these trials and tribulations.

So I'm stuck inside for another day

finishing these scholarships and applications.
