See You Soon

See you soon

(to Clare and Magdalene)

By: Darlyn C. Lojero

My beautiful, I shall no more thread on these steps again.

My feet have written their stories on these stones,

And so do not call me as I descend

for your voice would soon erase what my feet have written.

My innocent, “why?” is not a question but a choice,

And so I chose to keep it hidden

Till you become YOU

--no more what they made you be

nor what I taught you to be.

we shall meet when I—a thousand leaves and petals pass by.

See you soon
