Sense Perception..

Tue, 12/02/2014 - 12:25 -- KCART

You see, but you don’t listen.

You hear, but you don’t believe.

You know, but you avoid it.

Ways of knowing stares you in the face, but your pride determines action.

Through blind eyes, I see the future.

I see broken glass scattered.

I see death tumbling…..

The eyes of the world are vulnerable.

Mistaken for friendly and Swayed by green,

Sense perception: Seeing the future.

The holidays have arrived, thus the schools must go on.

I hear gun shots floating through the air.

I hear children.

I hear submission.

But Im deaf.

Destined to become another shadow.

Eager to find a way out.

Antiscipating freedom.

Frightened by denial and truth.

I hear the nation crying.

Gasping for air.

I hear sirens racing to the rescue.

One then two.

Two then three.

Three then twenty.

Sense perception: Hearing what’s next.

It touched me.

Every part of me and banally I suffered.

I suffered from rumors and threats.

I suffered, because it was engraved in me as a child that I wouldn’t amount to much.

I was nothing in a something world, that no longer tolerated my presence.

Sense Perception: Being in touch with the world.

I can taste the remorse burning through the skies.

I taste liquor forming respect in our society.

I taste the tears of dropouts exploding in anger.

I can taste the medicine the nation needs.

Sense Perception: Tasting the creations of the world.

Can you smell that fancy perfume on his collar?

And that buttery furnace in his living room.

I can smell the green that he stole from us.

I smell the lies and deceit.

Sense Perception: Being able to smell inelegance
