Senseless

May the sane remain sane,

And the mad remain mad

But if the sane becomes mad

Then they are sane.

Just as when the sun rises in the east

It sets in the west.

Normality is life’s test.

Normal like our wicked hearts?

Or normal like our counterparts?

There is no normal…

But that is all that is there.

Yet, people believe they are sane,

And the world is fit

When really normality is unreal

Because the unreal reveals the mad inside us all.

Normal like our wicked hearts?

Or normal like our counterparts?

There is no normal…

But that is all that is there.

If my demons turn me mad,

Will that make me sane?

Because sanity obtains derange.

May the madness overcome me so I can become sane.

For when people are sane, they are mad,

Because no one is sane in an insane world
