She's the Grandest Canyon&

She's the Grandest Canyon

flash floods and constant currents

carved her sweet countenance

A dangerous torrent

years of subtle torment

Eroded the rocks

and solidified them once more

solid and sturdy

so very reliable

stacks of pretty stone

been the same for a while now

Pink and grey

almost soft from a distance

a monument

to the true American experience

She wasn't built in a day

she won't be toppled in one either

she's the grandest of canyons

and I wouldn't have it any other way
