A girl with sunshine gleaming onto her hair

A boy with a shirt, and on it a hare

I look outside at the cold, grey weather

 And contemplate, ask myself whether

Between their lips is a slice of bread

Thought by bought by the one who bred

And the boy offers a girl a piece

But within sharing is there ever really peace

And the people talk and walk as they are allowed

But my thoughts from the lunchroom never come alive, never said aloud.

Who am I?I am a kid with a dream

A dream that is restrained by a kid

But ready to be set free
