Slithering Night

It happened then,
Once more

Tonight;
In the abyss of doubt
It grows as dark clouds.

Navy night
Streaks of cocaine white.

A delightful pain--
Outside the window frame
A silver coat
As white as snow
Stumbles down
The moldy road.

Drop
Drop
Tears of a
hundred hearts.
Memories hope for serene thoughts--

Navy stallions.
Melancholic tolls.
Flare red ash oak.

Drops morph into rain
For which
None ever pray.
It rips life apart;
Lighting courage into embers.

It calls your name
Oh paths of wainscoted shame--
Lightening flashes behind
Bedroom
Curtain stains.

She crawls
In bed beside you.
You kiss
And forget its name.

Snakes sing about.

She slithers down.
Flesh turns cold as stone
In frantic agony you squirm alone.

She wraps her tail around your
legs,
torso,
arms.

Yell
She hisses.
Cry
She tightens--

...
A memory flash back
The night in your room.
Same rain fell
To be tamed by my woo.
You pulled me closer--

We held in moonlight,
Wrapped our beings.
We were one at night.
...

You return to present.
Sweet misery.
Hopeless
Gasp
No
Air.

Storm
reveled her form:
Serpent of Lucifer
Leach of life
Venomous creature
Self-pity sigh

Beguiles in sight.

It craves attention.
You choose to delight.

Silver coat as white as snow
Flaking there on the weary road.
Navy night
Streaks of cocaine white.
Once again
You choose
Delight.
