Sometimes

Sometimes life will get you down,
Get you flipped and turned around,
But if you'll take the time to look for me,
I promise you, I'll be there.

Sometimes life brings heartache and pain,
Countless struggles, time spent in vain,
But through those times I hope you'll see,
That I'm with you, and I still care.

Sometimes life is not your friend,
Treat you wrong, make play pretend,
So when you're feeling low and oh so weak,
I can be the one you need.

Sometimes life won't let you forget,
The old past, potential regret,
So if you hear your heart begin to creak,
You can rest, I'll take the lead.

Sometimes life will bring you hope,
A friend, a song to help you cope.
Sometimes life will bring you joy,
A smile surpassing playing coy.

Once in a lifetime, life will bring you love,
Something sweet, you've never been quite sure of,
And from the time we roamed the same hallways,
To forever, I will love you always.
