Speak Now

He kicked his dog to death.

His hands were cold

and wet.

And in the desperate wind,

he wept.

She promised him the world.

Said she'd leave her man for him.

Abandon all her plans for him.

She spoke in more than words.

Cosy walks in the park,

turned to long, dark nights.

By the sterile moon he howled

and moaned.

Drunk and beaten and alone.

Prowl the bars,

and the streets.

Foul beast.

Speak now

or forever hold your peace.
