Stay strong momma

Location

Here I am, sitting with a smile.
The corners, ever cracking.
No one will see the reality of me.
Stay Strong, stay happy.
That’s all that they want of me.

A single mother, working to the bone.
Another day ticks by,
only to clock back on at home.
Dishes, laundry, baths, and checks.

When all I want is to let my love shine.
My daughter is the only one to know,
how mommy laughs, and cries,
when she wants some time alone.

Here goes on the smile again,
Can’t let them know…
How close I am to falling,
with next month’s bills unknown.

All I really want is to
Love life and its entirety!
Not just in my daughters arms.
Lay my sunshine down to sleep…

To craft the night away!
And put my soul in an object.
So that my heart can be found,
for its new owner to hold.

Sweet dreams doll face.
Before you know it,
Surreality will be reality.
Now put that smile on.
