Stones Speak

Faded flowers decorate the yard

Stones stand still

They don't judge

They don't argue

They sit

In silence

Waiting

On You

So You

Talk To Them

Them

Agreeing

With You

You

Screaming at Them

Your Troubles

Your Pain

Anything

You Say

They Listen

Quietly

Supporting You

As You Lay

Against Them

After Blaming Them

For Taking

Them

From You

Stones Tell You

"It's Okay"

Suddenly It Is

They Listen

In Their Silence

You Know That

It Is Okay

Stones Don't Talk

They Listen

They Speak

In Their Silence

After the Screaming

Or the Chatter

After Not Seeing Them

For Nine Years

They Speak

They Tell You

"It's Okay"

"All Is Well"

"We Listen"

"We Understand"

"We Are Here"

You Thank Them

For Listening

And Turn Away

Heart a Little Lighter

Sun a Little Brighter

Smiling a Little More
