Texts to Face
Weigh down my pockets with your thoughts,
each text a burden in my mind,
a contact shared form you to me,
expressed as stressed bytes caught online.
Weigh down my head with your message,
each word you say arrests my day.
Enjailed, I sleep on restless nights,
with thoughts of you to comfort me.
Can I belie the simply sky?
reverse the willing of my heart,
I can't, it's set, I've made my mind,
I'll elevate these texts to words!
To spoken word, that they have heard,
an uncured love to observed.
Be sure, my friends, to know your love,
be safe, and love them face to face.
