There is Life Left in Me

I was a good boy,
Thankful and proud,
I wasn’t too nosey
And I wasn’t too loud.

What had I done
To be pushed to the ground
Numerous miles
From my beloved town?

I have much to give
To the loving soul
Who sees I have potential,
No heart made of coal.

There is life left in me,
I am more than you see,
I am the worthy companion
You want me to be.

There have been many cruelty cases involving dogs where these animals have been left by the side of the road to fend for themselves. They have what it takes to be wonderful pets, but they need the help of providing owners for them to shine.
