Thoughts of tomorrow

As the sun woke up, so did I

but no one ever greets me in the morning, eye to eye.

And so I walk to school like I always do,

Still tired from last night's cry.

Anyway, here I am in my first class of the day.

Nothing to say until called on,

like the typical "lazy but brilliant" type.

"Sorry," I'd reply, yet time continues at a steady beat.

"Why stay?"

Not that something's wrong,

though the sky's not very bright,

but does give excessive heat.

As the sun went home, I did too

Only to find hope along the way.

A stranger in the rain, drenched in blue,

so we crossed paths, and so I'd say

"Good day, how are you?" but didn't.

I sighed with no emotion, but the stranger said,

"Good day, how are you?"

The stranger made my day.
