The Time Piece

Sun, 10/06/2013 - 23:40 -- JPB

Tic.
Time starts to move,
A steady constant rift.
Slow and deliberate,
Like the continental drift.
Strong and decisive,
A truly magnificent gift.

Onward into the sunset,
A trek through think an thin.
Away to a far off land,
A journey that starts within.

Bound by the time piece,
Life takes its toll.
Forever in one direction,
The land of its goal.

Toc
Time continues on,
A great all knowing and true.
To hear that sweet ticking song,
Is all man has left to do.
