True Identity For Eterntity

A girl named Brooke, who derives from the city

People tell her every day she is pretty.

She tends to be super shy,

Upon her face is a lie.

She states, "Nah, I'm fine!"

Will someone get the sign?

A girl who is afraid,

That she will fade.

A girl who pretends,

Even with her friends.

Her true inner self is dying to break the ice,

She doubts that people will be nice

A girl who is blunt,

Even in the front.

The truth might hurt,

At least the truth isn't like dirt.

A girl who is loud,

She happens to be proud.

A girl who hides her pain,

Within every single vein.

She is afraid of hearing laughter,

A girl who needs to open a new chapter.

A girl who is now brave,

Like a midnight ocean wave.

She will at last let her true identity be free,

The old Brooke will soon flee.
