When I think of you, I try to imagine only the good

But the memories are fading fast, a flash to the past

Reminding me of crying

Of lying there, when suddenly I don't feel so alone anymore

Because God lifted me up and gave me new life

He said don't you worry

My son was crucified

And he felt your pain as you wept your tears

He watched you struggle and fight your peers

And as you cried out, he cried our too

And as you felt you were dying, he died too

He was calling my name, and I knew what to end

I ended his sorrow and brought him home

And you can go there someday when you're grown

And I'll end your pain

And I'll end your tears

And every struggle you've felt through the years

Will vanish

And be replaced by peace

So real and alive,

Because,

By my grace

You never really die.
