"Unforbidden"

The small glances,

Minimal eye contact,

The butterflies,

Mmm, mmm, mmm.

I know,

It’ll never be anything more.

I’ll take my chances,

Whatever this is.

Feeling seventeen again,

Being nervous and shy,

All giggles and smiles,

Totally worth it.

I don’t want this to end,

Though one day it’ll have to.

You have your family,

I don’t belong.

18 years….A long time to wait,

It’s worth every minute.

The suspense and anticipation,

To have you again.
