Unrequited Love

The longing I feel for you lurk behind my closed walls

Your after image following me through my never-ending mind maze

Scenery bright like the stars in the midnight sky

The diamonds that are your eyes captivate me

Cherry like blossoms is the color that ghosts across your lips

Eyelashes long and lushes as the crops surrounding my dreams

Laugh so intoxicating like alcohol

Your laugh is my addiction that will haunt me on sleepless nights

Sleep has forever left me when the mirage of that perfectly imperfect smile that plasters the face that captivates me

I see all your faults when you think no one has

Although you think you will never find the one.

I will always be by your unsuspecting side

Your gaze filled with inner turmoil that I wish would disappear

That I will always be here to comfort you of the loves you've lost

Knowing that the love you cast upon others will never be aimed to my restless shadow

But here forever to always be your one true friend to drown in the sadness I keep to myself for you to remain happy

For the only time, I feel alive is to see your smile of happiness that drives me off the cliff of bliss
