First Encounters

Tue, 07/30/2013 - 15:53 -- mayers

Our first encounter, how sweet it was, I could cry

The love once shared, the joy was great

Until that doomed day we bid goodbye

No one has given me a reason to die

How evil the gods have been with my fate

So much so, but how sweet it was, I could cry.

It seemed so pure; I would never guess it was a lie

The vivid image of that fatal date

.Until that doomed day we bid goodbye.

I sit up late at night, wondering why

To be so foolish as to take that good bait

So much so, but how sweet it was, I could cry.

Our bond was bound together with such a wicked tie

You wore the mask of a perfect mate

Until that doomed day we bid goodbye.

The beauty of your smile when you said Hi

I tried hard not to fall but it was too late

So much so, but how sweet it was, I could cry

Until that doomed day you bid me goodbye.
