All I wanted was respect
But you wouldn't give it to me
So things began to build and build
A storm was ready to give
Because you wouldn't listen
What has been accomplished?
Are we both to blame?
My tears of anger and frustration fell
You just looked and laughed
Like how I felt wasn't important
Or that I was overreacting
I've tried to talk
But you chose not to listen
Though you continue to tear me down
You won't break the spirit that is inside me
You don't know what I have been through
In my short time of existence
The tables will turn
I will beat you at your own game
