Use me

Frustrations never ceasing

Happiness ever fleeting

The day goes by and my blind eye-

Cannot see if I’m pleasing

Important moment yet?

The time of least regret

If all I’d do is honor You-

Then would You even let…

I try to hear Your voice

My ear erect and poised

If harvest, due, yet workers few-

Why the absconder noise?

Command my every action

Or my feet without such traction

Are lame and dead, puppet- no thread

Is this my own infraction?

Is my sin keeping me

From usefulness to Thee?

Then help me out from pride and doubt

And I’ll bring You glory

Is that not how it works?

I’m willing, though I’m hurt

I want to be as You’d have me

But stuck, I feel inert

Or is your movement there

Through me but as the air

Invisible, yet substantial

The hope that I so wear

Ministering through me

In ways that I can’t see

Intention there? Humbled and bare-

You’re working silently

I want to so be proud

To ride atop a cloud

To be as You, to others too

But my own work in shroud

Its right to be this way

Until my yearnings say

I boast only in Holy Ghost,

Father, and Son all day.
