A Voice for a Runaway

It's funny.People claim to know you through things you've done and not by listening to you speak for yourself. They think they know you like their favorite book they've read a thousand times before that they pulled from their shelf. People say, don't worry about anything just be yourself and have fun. But how can I, when I never knew myself in the first place with my personality always on the run. So why do I write poetry and why is it so special to me you ask?  I write about feelings that I've felt and places my mind has been because a lot of people can relate to it. I write so I can express what I'm feeling at the time in a way that it creates an unspoken connection with those who take take the time to forge a bond with it. But most importantly I write to give a voice to a person that I've lost, that personality on a runaway. But just starting to find again.
