Washed Away

Washed away

Storms flying above a haunted house

Fierce sobs and sniffles

Hope was lost in the fire

Not ashamed of the mistakes

but aware of every flaw

Vivid visions

The truths of the old ghosts

that roam thin flimsy walls

They were knocked down one at time

The wind screamed in decline

A shower of dismay

Drowning the pains

Dousing the flames

Alarming the senses

with sweet sweet scents

Blowing away the past

Washing away every mark charred black

Structures in ruins

The rain is pouring hammers and nails

Nailing each ghost to the ceiling

To fix this broken home

This house may never be the same

but a place we can call our own

is all that we desired

now watch it inspire
