Watch You

Sun, 06/28/2015 - 14:56 -- Trai09

I watched you get beaten to the ground.
I watched everything you loved be taken from you.
I watched you stand powerless against an invisible force.

And just when I thought you couldn't take anymore,
I watched you lose yourself completely to the darkness.
I wanted to give up on you fore I knew no one could bounce back,
But you proved me wrong.

I watched you climb out that dark hole life put you in.
I watched you straighten your back and I saw the fire in your eyes.
I watched you struggle through Hell to get to the top.

And just when I thought you couldn't do anymore,
I watched you gain all of which was taken from you.
I cried tears of joy for you, fore I knew I couldn't do what you did,
But you looked at me and told me I was wrong.

I watched you and everything you've been through.
I watched how it made you stronger.
I watched you transform into a fighter.

I watched you give others your strength.
I watched you tell others to hold faith.
I watched you carry others out of that same dark hole.

I couldn't do what you did,
But that doesn't mean I'll stop fighting.
You give me strength, my friend.

Which is why, I still watch you.
