Waterfalls

Waterfalls soothe the reservoir
Of feelings
Clouding my heart
The impoundment of anguish
Tears my soul apart

With the sky blue
Clearing the thoughts
Wrapped 'round my mind
Though hope seems lost
Love is here to find

Shadows shade
My face
From glaring sun
From these feelings
I try to run

The breath
Of the summers breeze
Time can look to freeze
Inescapable melancholy
Can't be breeched

Solitude of birds
Chirping love songs
To woo the hearts never wronged
My heart aches
From too much rust
My bones wane to blackened dust

The sun sets
Behind the roaring falls
To my love the heart calls
Wanting to feel
The warmth of one
Knowing the love of none
Can't seem to shake
The growing wake
Of fleeting time, today's

I lie beneath
The moon's shadow
Falling in time's callow
Astronomy
A star in the night
Praising unknown good nights
Tears fall
Don't know why
I'm asleep, yet, still I cry
Unknowing of
What's to come
For tomorrow's another home
