We Didn't Ask For This

We as black people didn't ask for this.

We fight for the fact that "Black Lives Matter"

But when have they really?

We didn't ask to be brought over as slaves

We didn't ask to be bought and sold like a piece of land

No, we didnt ask for that.

We asked to simply be treated as humans and have rights like everyone else

We fought for it :

We Marched

We Protested

We Boycotted

We Made Speeches

And finally we made some progress

But yet even though now in this day in age we have more rights than blacks back then

We are still being treated as if we don't matter

We get shot for looking suspicious

It's not safe to be black now a days even if you are educated and well groomed

We didn't ask to look the way we do

God created us all the same way so why am i being treated as less than such

My life matters just as much as yours

But sadly it won't be seen that way for a while

We didn't ask for a life like this

Oppression of society did that for us.

We as a Black / African American culture DID NOT ASK FOR THIS.
