if your a virgin you're a prude ; if you've had sex, you're a whore

where date rape is a common thing

we grow up in a world where theres a better reaction to FIRE than rape

girls are taught from a young age to cover their skin

where dress codes are made because "boys will be boys"

we grow up in a world where celebrities are honored more than our soilders

sex, drugs and money flow from our car speakers

a world full of flaws but no one takes a stand

we grow up in a world that replaces the broken and misused

where love is replaced with lust

and morals are second guessed

we grow up in a world over flowing with depression and suicide 

a world full of fake laughs and smiles

and at night our true demons appear

we grow up in a world where being truthful is no longer a trend

that the person youd take a bullet for, is the one pulling the trigger

where you hide who you are because being you isnt "perfect"

we grow up in a world where the ideal image of perfection is misleading

plastic surgery and make up is necessary

to be considered beautiful you have to be somone you're not

we grow up in a world that should be proud of who you are but we're not.
