We Loved

Fri, 10/14/2016 - 13:43 -- yokovue

We loved one another, the flowers our mother planted in the yard, the feel of the sun touching our skin, the tight hugs our younger siblings gave, the familiar cries of the young ones, the way our youngest sister slept in our arms, the smile as she fell asleep, and the photos that decorated our home.

We loved every moment we had together, the smell of a home cooked meal, the taste of our mother’s food, the soft touch of our father’s hand, the sound of sewing machines, the sight of each other.

We loved the ability of having a house to call home.
