What makes me

Im from a townhouse, in Maryland.

From the creek in the backyard

All the babysitters I had

Crazy family is what I grow up on

I’m from my Aunts farm

Family pig butchering’s

I’m from my grandmother,

Who is wise and knows all

I’m from my parents,

They’re the best they can be

I’m from my half-sister,

so different, yet the same in so many ways

I’m from a walk on the beach

The sand on my feet

From cool ocean water on hot summer days,

calming breeze you can smell from miles away

From traveling as far as my parents will take me

though not quite far enough

I’m from a small town in Pennsylvania

Soon to spread my wings and explore the world

I’m from things that are savory and sweet

My food palate is unimaginable

I’m from stuffed animals and coloring books,

To music and business education

I’m from my imagination

As far as it will allow me to roam

From the things I have done,

the things I will do

I’m from the things that make me who I am today

I am me.

Thank you! I have no idea what would be going wrong, I just typed it all up and make sure I tagged it for the correct scholarship. It will say 'poetry slam' and you have to choose which one you want to tag!
