What Makes Me Tick

What makes me tick?
sitting in the library reading a book
I’ll get through anything you pick
Even if the cover doesn’t have a nice look

What makes me tick?
Lay in my bed looking at the ceiling
Give that light switch a flick
Watch the glow of the stars through the paint that was supposed to be concealing

What makes me tick?
Give me a camera, let me take your picture
It’ll be in front of a building faced with brick,
‘cuz my favorite background are the ones with texture

I know what makes me tick
and when I need to get my way
you better know I’ll lay it on thick
Otherwise, I doubt you’ll even know what to say
