What you don't know...

Location

And what you don't know is,

Everything about me.

Think you got it figured out,

By the way that I be.

Sittin' in the classroom

Watchin' you talk.

Go up to the blackboard,

Scribble somethin'  in chalk.

Can't even read it

Cause you can't write right.

Think since I talk to the girl 'side me

Then surely we tight.

Now it's time to take some notes

An I lay down my head.

Think you got it figured out,

She don't ever go to bed.

What you don't know is-

Every night I try.

Layin' there for hours,

An I can't help but cry.

So I pick up my head,

And my pencil too.

Time to take some notes,

That's what I'm gonna do.

You smile real sweet

An look me straight in the eyes,

I know to look away,

'Cuz it;'s just a disguise.

And sure enough your lips start

Formin' my name.

Talkin' bout "Miss Taylor"

"Were the British to blame?"

I feel the heat rising,

Right beneath my skin,

And just like I knew you would,

You start to grin.

I say "Well..."

"Um, I'm not quite sure."

And right along with the class you laugh,

It's.. tourture.

And what you don't know is,

The places I've been.

The things I saw,

Before the ripe age of 10.

Mom was still a teen,

When she concieved me

Can say I learned from her-

Exactly who I Don't wanna be.

Guess I can't blame you,

Never been in my shoes.

Judge me so hard,

You got nothing to lose.

But what you don't know,

About every snide remark-

Is each one haunts me,

When I'm layin' in the dark.

But this is the way it goes..

You are my teach-er

I am not your Eq-ual.

What is that you say?

That according to the Bible God created man, and God created woman.

And You are Me, and I am You.

But you can't even mention the Bible, Why?

Because of this thing called..

Public School.

See what you Don't know is,

I could teach You.

More than you could Ever teach me.
