When you say you go

When you say you go,

We both know why you leave.

You plan on a long journey,

A journey ending without me.

I hate to be alone

A world without you isnt a world for me.

However, chance may be in my favor

and I'll see you sooner than I believe.

So I'll let you go

Running from me so fast.

And I will stay here, waiting,

Waiting for you to come back.

One of the most beautiful lines in this piece is "However, chance may be in my favor/and I'll see you sooner than I believe." It was short and to the point, but it resonates right in the heart, where you can feel the looming sense of a goodbye you don't want to come. Thank you for sharing this piece, it has such beautiful language and strong sense of understanding in it that I'm sure it has meant just as much to the person you wrote it for as it did for you.
