where do the next two steps take us

We walk a bold trail

one that shows no signs of wear

we've read the stories of heroes and heroines

that years ago walked similar lines

but we see no clear picture ahead

we stumble blindly towards faith

in faith

for faith

we look for signs

we need to know where to find tomorrow

but tomorrow always finds us first

what common sense will be

has always been our greatest fear

so much zen for a generation of doers

so much modesty for a generation of "knowers"

we take one more step because

we hope for another step after
