WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME

How dare you follow us and still crack jokes
about how we don't know who fathered us?
How dare you conquer us?
400 years of this oppression
but when we rise up cuz we've had enough,
you can't handle our aggression.
Oh, should we dial it back?
"You can't fight fire
-arms with fire."
Quote MLK like he's your n***a,
but I think he'd call you a liar.

I'm begging, please don't forget about my brothers.

It may not happen close to home, but they are dying in the street. If you're a brother, don't forget you're the other. One minute you're walking home, the next, you're lying in the street.

To my people, remember all of this is a distraction.
They'd exterminate us in the streets
but they know it wouldn't get much traction.
So, they set us against ourselves.
They give us guns and call out "savage!"
Manipulation is the way of the nation;
It's all brainwashing and propaganda
I'm always trying to change the station.
These things bother me some,
but I don't speak over the man with the gun.
