Why Hate?

Every day you see a life that's lost.

And every day you see a person cry.

Do humans realize the things they do

Make other broken people want to die?

We slander names and use profanity

Even to those we might call our soul mate.

Do we do this out of pure jealousy?

Why is this world filled with so much darn hate?

It seems to me that people aim to be

The best because they're forced to be this way.

Can we say hate comes from ones family?

Is that why people are like this today?

I never understood how men could freely rape

Or how women could get away with sex.

Is there hate going on between genders?

I guess so, but there's not much to expect.

Racism, still a big problem today.

How can someone hate someone's complection?

How can someone's race or ethnicity

Make certain people show less affection?

In the end we all fall 6 feet under

We are all children in the eyes of God

We're all born as little human beings

And to know one can hate just leaves me awed

I don't understand why this isn't solved.

And thinking about it makes me restate

The question of how people can be cruel.

Why is the world filled with so much darn hate?
