Why I Write

Why I write?

 A lovely queen

set apart from the evil of Babylon

Oh she's destroyed

Media portrays her as a seductive vixen

Thinking like a man

Pimping them

Playing the field

Birth rights, history, all stolen

Identity lost - Unsure who she is

Therefore she writes, so therefore I write

A lovely queen demolished at such a young age

but yous hear not of her cries

upon a high heel she sits and laments

her inner heart's contents

Oh the trauma she's experienced first hand

But a look upon her face and would it ever cross you?

Therefore she writes, so therefore I write

A lost soul

mourning for

longing for acceptance .

Ha! poor girl, all she'll ever here is " Keep moving on..."  " Will call back if..."

Lies yes all lies

Therefore I write

I write to express

I write to encourage

I write to awaken

I write to acknowledge

I write for no other than to satisfy a burning desire beneath a hollow space

; where once lived a heart

;once lived shame

;once lived a lovely queen

Therefore she writes; therefore I write
