Why I Write

"Why do you write poetry?" This question rings in my head like the echoing of a doorbell my words may not make sense to those who aren't poetic but they paint a picture so vividly that makes them understand I don just write poetry because I'm good at it no, I write to remember, remember the times whn I didn't have a care in world to remember how I got m civil rights to remember Rosa Parks, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Freedom Writers poetry is my drug my mind is my dealer I write to escape this so called "free world" but, who's really free?
