The Wishing Flower

Location

The dandelion is the wishing flower,

One that holds a great power.

Such a tiny stem,

That is green and thin,

Holds the heavy weight of seed-carried wishes.

The color of snow flake kisses.

Children and the whimsical-minded passerby,

Release their dreams, wishes, and desires into the sky.

The seeds rise in the air like leaven,

And float on up into heaven.

The flower's power is to help people cope,

To even give them a sliver of hope.
