Wretched Repetition

To keep ourselves from going mad, we tell ourselves little lies.

"He didn't mean it in that way, it was an accident, it's my fault, he didn't know what he was doing".

We condition our brains to cover the reality of what happened. From there it becomes a cycle.

We brainwash ourselves. For knowing the truth and having to remain silent about it, is a pain you could never measure.

Exploiting your greatest weaknesses, for whoever sees it; is a bold thing to do.

We're giving a step by step instruction guide to our own downfall, and hoping that those who see it, forgot how to read.

The cycle deepens deepens, darkens, and the broken sail past the point of mending.

This poem is about:
Our world
