Written deep inside

Jeremiah 1:5 New Living Translation (NLT)

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Written deep inside …

Little do I know and even less I understand

Always on the go and seldom be on hand

Hunger to search deeper but just overweight

None of my mental clothes fit in this parade

Appearing like a clown and fitting right in

A useless masquerade wanting to be a king

Almost succeeded with both feet in my mouth

In a total stand-still trying to please the crowd

How can one read much and not learn from the past?

The death-march has now started with destiny in cast

History’s warriors in marvel looking from beyond the Son

Silence now a state of mind like the sounding of the drum

Only some colors lag, some partially white and semi-black

Hearts of stone without fear discarding all the facts

As they wave at the crowd to the stranger and their “friend”

Nothing left to surrender here as they rush towards the end

Long ago deep in the past – a doctrine of Election

If all just came to believe in their search for perfection

Somewhere before time “began” The Way was provided

Through “The True One’s Life” as described in the Bible …
