You

Location

I hang onto every word you say

I watch your lips as you utter out more than just nothingness

Your eyes move with such passion

I stare enviously

You’ve caught everyone’s attention so sophisticatedly

You’re far better than all the other guys that have somehow managed to catch my eyes

Some were sweet others were kind but you I think about all the time

You caught my heart and captivated my soul

When we talk I forget the world and lose that sense of needing control

You add that something to me that makes me feel whole

You just do you and don’t even know what it does to me

I’m like a bird perched on you, my tree

As long as you’re by, I’m calm as the summer sea

As free as the winter’s breeze

And as colorful as the fall’s leave

You just do something that makes you apart of me
