You

So here I am again, thinking of you.

With my duties all done, and nothing to do.

I could go to sleep, but I am haunted, you see;

By that one who makes me want to be me,

You.

I am haunted by your laugh,

Your hair and eyes.

Haunted by beauty

That can’t be disguised.

It starts as you open,

The door outside

When you step in the world

And I think I have died.

For an angel steps out,

And onto the ground.

Making my soul want to melt,

And my heart start to pound.

The angel who says,

“Have I told you you’re great?”

Making me ask,

“Could this be fate?”

But what can I say

Besides this is true

For an angel has come,

And that angel is you.

So here I am, about to depart,

With a smile on my face, and joy in my heart.

You be the Queen, and I, your knight.

For there is only one, for whom I will fight,

You.
