You make it seem okay

To joke about going into the bathroom to smoke

But then lecture us not to do it.

You make it seem okay to call our school a dump

And then say we are lucky to have teachers

Like you.

You  make it seem okay to know it's happening, and ignore it

Drug searches don't help

We post pictures of our addictions everday.

You make it seem okay

To punish everyone, regardless of their innocence.

You take away our freedom as seniors.

You treat every human being as if they have done something wrong.

You don't give us a chance.

In your eyes, we are still kids.

You make us prisoners in our own school.

And you make it seem okay

To assume we are all okay.

Don't ignore the problems,

Don't try to punish everyone,

Don't make it okay to do these things.
