Young Teenage Mother

People say when you get pregnant at a young age

You won't amount to anything that you won't finish school

If the humors are true and everyone seems to assume

Then why am I still in school, why am I in honors classes

Making better grades then the average

You tell me I cant be who I want to be

Because I got pregnant at the age of 16.

Im the type a person  who is up for a challenege

Who faces their fears and defeates the big mighty dragon

And that dragon is you, everyone that seemed to assume

That just because I got in pregnant in high school

That I couldnt be successfull

If thats so why am I about to graduate on time

With scholarships and college right down the line

My son is blessing and I will do anything to help him

And my education is the first step

Of the stairs that I will climb to prove

To everyone that doubted me

That said Im going to quit school

Or have the career of a burger king cook

When I prove everyone wrong this is my shout out to

All the other pregnant teen girls who got talked down to.
